Hello! I'm Joey, a software engineer with 15+ years across cloud infrastructure, security, and IT. I spent 6+ years at Microsoft building and running global services — CI/CD, Kubernetes, and infrastructure security. More recently I've been at Render, a high-growth cloud platform company, where my work has shifted toward engineering operations: building and automating the systems a fast-moving engineering org runs on.

    Systems Engineer, IT & Security

    • Built and own the company's internal systems — identity, device management, SaaS administration, and automation for 100+ people and 250+ devices.
    • Own Okta end-to-end: SSO/SCIM across the SaaS stack, Workflows-driven provisioning, and hardened auth policies.
    • Led the Jamf → Kandji MDM migration, EDR and email-security rollouts, and SOC 2 / HIPAA evidence automation.

    • Led multi-tenant service migrations across Azure tenants; built and maintained CI/CD for global deployments on Kubernetes and Service Fabric.
    • Core member of the security team: threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, incident response leadership, and developer security training.
    • Implemented Azure AD SSO for third-party apps; automated monitoring/alerting and revamped developer on-call, reducing downtime.
    • Started in IT/site operations — Tier 3 escalation point and network engineering support.
